The Midnight Signal - Solo Journaling
A downloadable game
When the clock strikes 12am, The Midnight Signal is live
Somewhere on the AM dial, past the static and dead air, your voice cuts through the noise like a lighthouse in fog. You’re the host of a late-night radio show that rides the edge of belief—a haven for insomniacs, truckers on endless roads, and those with stories too strange for the daylight hours.
They call in from everywhere and nowhere.
They talk about things that shouldn’t exist.
They sound scared.
Sometimes... you are too.
This is a solo journaling game about what happens when you open your frequency to the unknown. Each night, you'll host another episode—drawing mysterious calls from strangers with tales of bizarre, terrifying, and unexplainable things. Aliens, ghosts, cryptids, glitches in reality—they all come through your show.
You’ll decide how your host responds: are they a skeptic? A believer? Just in it for the ratings? Or has something about the callers started to feel... familiar?
Write your episodes as transcripts, audio recordings, personal notes, or secret logs. Keep the signal alive. Even when the lines of reality start to blur.
Because out there in the dark, someone is always listening...
This game includes
- Themed Topic Tables for Aliens, Paranormal Events, Cryptids, Unnatural Phenomena, and Government Conspiracies
-

An Oracle to inspire caller responses, unexpected twists, and strange events.
-

You decide what’s real, what’s paranoia, and what can no longer be denied.
Special thanks to the inspiring forces behind this game: Art Bell’s Coast to Coast AM, Void AM 1680 by Ken Lowery, and all the weird, unexplainable things happening in the shadows of the world.
